We survived our first competition of the year this past weekend.
Parker-and her whole studio-did absolutely AMAZING!
Parker's two dances took 1st place in their division!
Kung-Fu
and
Jump Up!
We are so proud of Parker and her whole team. They did an amazing job.
Our studio did great as well! It's fun to be a part of a studio that is positive, builds self confidence in the girls (and boys) that dance there, promotes modesty and integrity and most of all teaches their kids to just have fun and love what you're doing! Dancing!
I applaud Parker's coaches for being amazing women.
(I'm sure the fact that they are some of my best friend doesn't hurt that I love them so much....;)
Thanks, Gretchen and Sam.
We all love ya!
And we can't wait for Ogden this weekend!!!

A glimpse into Pacie's future

This morning Pacie and I were having a little one on one time-talking in bed before school.
She told me that she wants to have me move to Mamie's house (my parent's next door) and she will live here with her kids. I asked her how many kids she was going to have.
6.
I asked her what their names were going to be.
Much thinking: Well, I can't name them Pacie, because that's my name.
More thinking.
1. Bug (a boy)
2. Buggy (a boy)
3. Niss (A girl)
4. Nissers (A girl)
5. Sweet Pea (A girl)
6. Darlin' (A girl)
Now for any of you who know our family-
Pacie gave the nickname Buggy to Landon when he was a baby and it stuck.
We have called Pacie Niss or Nissers since she was a baby.
Parker's nickname is Sweet Pea-
And of course, Presley is Darlin'.
I love it.
You go Pacie. I hope we can be next door neighbors and I would welcome Bug, Buggy, Niss, Nissers, Sweet Pea and Darlin' into my home anytime.

March Comes in like a LION

I wanted to post our little project that we made in preschool this week because I love the way it turned out...
Here's to hoping that March does go out like a lamb and that we'll have an amazing spring. Yes, I'm obsessed with winter being over...can you tell?!

10-4 T: Reasons I'm ready for spring!
Here are the top ten reasons I'm ready for spring
1. This is the view from my back door.
2. Here is another view-the swingset should not be buried that deep.
3. Here is my driveway.
4. I hate that my preschool moms have to wade through the muck to get their kids.
5. I hate that my kids have to be puddle jumpers on their way out to the bus.
On the positive side:
6. Spring means I get to plant flowers for the first time at this house.
7. Spring also means I get to plant grass, or have it delivered. Not sure how we're working that-but I'm not going through another summer grass-less!
8. Green is my favorite color-can't wait to see some of it on the trees etc.
9. NO MORE COATS AND JACKETS! I love not having to bundle everyone up before we go outside-
10. Who doesn't love spring? Idaho is cooperating a little bit today-the sun is shining at least and it's above freezing so the snow is slowly melting. Bring it on...I am READY!

My new favorite Pacie-isms
The other night we were talking about the Restoration for FHE. We asked who restored the priesthood to Joseph Smith. Pacie said, "Peter....." and then got stuck.
So we said,"Yes, Peter, James and....."
Her reply...."JOHNSON!"
This morning we were getting ready for school and I was telling Scott about someone's house that is nearly finished being built. I said, you'll never guess how much they paid for their well. It was over $12,000.
From the other room Pacie said, "They bought a pet whale?"
Too funny. I love our little Pacie. She is so fun-and always has us laughing, intentionally or not!

10-4-T: A little Catching up
I have a few things that I haven't blogged about for some reason or another. So, I'm going to catch up for my 10 for Tuesday today.
1. Earlier this year we got to go to Island Park and spend the weekend with some friends at their cabin. It was actually two families that we are friends with and we had such a great time. Thanks Nulph's for sharing your cabin and Kraus's for being such a laugh!

2. I don't know how I don't have any pictures of the adults-but I've been friends with Nat for about 6 years now and with Devri for about 2. We are thankful for both sets of friends!
3. Our kids all get along really well together-considering how many and at what differing ages. They all had a blast playing in the snow and in the cabin alike.

4. I lost at phase 10 at like 3:30 a.m.
5. I dumped both Scott and myself off of the sled after this ride. Just tipped over a little...it was fun though!
6. Here are a few pictures from Scott's race in Parker, Arizona.
7. I have taught him nothing about the kinds of pictures I like to take. He is in none of them-nor does he have one picture during the race. I'll have to keep working on the picture taking requirements...but here are a few of the truck he rode in.

8. We are learning that a word we could use to describe Presley's personality is: SHIFTY. I think she's a little more reserved than our other two girls-but this look is becoming very common. When we drop her off at nursery...when she has to stay with a babysitter....sometimes when she knows she's in trouble....
Shifty.

9. I am turning into a coupon/bargain shopper. I am going to a meeting tomorrow night where I can learn to pinch my pennies. This was our first huge buy at Albertson's using their sale to it's full potential. I drug Scott there with me at 5:30 am for this shopping extravaganza. It was so worth it.....

10. I love little boys in white shirts and ties. I also love Easter time becasue the Children's Place has their selection out. My little future missionary....

This is nothing new, but I love my kids. Their dad loves them too, I'm just the one who writes the blog so I get to say "My and Mine" when really I should be saying "We and Our".

Love Week-All wrapped up in a bow.
I have loved Valentine's Day this year. I think because of preschool and my week of love entries it has felt like it's lasted a full week instead of a day! We had such a fun time-especially over the weekend. So, here is our love week-all wrapped up!
Writing out 50 Valentines is hard labor. Not so much for Parker's 25-but Pacie's were pretty intense! So the little ones had to find something to do while my attention was on the girls. Landon decided to try napkin skating on the floor. He was doing great-and laughing his head off to the point that Pacie had to join him and steal the show! Presley was becoming a box mermaid. Putting her feet inside this box and swishing around the counter.

Friday night-Scott said, "Hey, let's go out to dinner and take the kids."
Never being one to be argumentative, I agreed and out we went! We ended up at Firehouse Grill-a random spot-but they are usually not busy and their food is pretty good. The kids were so well behaved! I think they knew it was a treat to be there as a family. Presley was cracking us up with the chips and salsa we had as an appetizer. She was just dipping in the chips and licking it off as fast as she could! Pacie wouldn't even eat the salsa-she's a softie with hot stuff!

After Firehouse it was off to Leatherbys for some ice cream! The kids were so spoiled! But it was their Valentine's treat.

On Saturday, the actual Valentine's day, we made sugar cookies-Parker's FAVORITE thing to do. Lots of flour and pink frosting everywhere, sprinkles and hearts-but they turned out yummy! Everyone had fun decorating.

The kids had pizza for their Valentine's dinner. Not nearly as good as ours was....
Scott surprised me by taking me out-again-just one on one this time. We went to our favorite hidden away place-the Snake Bite. And I have to say, their salmon cakes were to die for! We had a great time-and I am thankful for my loves.
Here are my girls on Sunday morning. Just a look at what 11:00 church will do for you. I actually have time to curl their hair.
