On Wednesday night, I graduated my third graduating class from Smart Start Preschool. This year meant a lot to me because I was able to teach two of my own little preschoolers. Landon and Presley both attended my school this year and it was so fun to have them be a part of my class.
(Here is a slight disclaimer: I will be bragging about my kids for a moment. Feel free to skip over it if you don't want to hear proud mama gushing....)
1. Landon is brilliant. I am not just saying that. He is reading on a third grade level and does basic math facts with the girls. He totally taught himself how to read. I did the ground work-he did the rest.
2. He has an AMAZING singing voice. I know I've said it before-but he sang before he could talk. Not only did he sing-but he sang totally in tune and has perfect pitch. He loves music.
3. Presley came to preschool this year by default. My babysitter had to stop-so in November, she started coming. I thought she would be too young-but it worked out great and I am really thankful she was able to come with me. I still get her all next year too! Yes-we had our moments. Our power struggles-but she matured a lot and had lots of fun and did well. She also made many new friends which I am thankful for.
4. Presley is the best "memory" player I know. She honestly can beat anyone in this house-including Scott and I. She is crazy good at that game. If she could only remember where she hid things after stealing them. Like my make-up brushes (found about a week after they went missing). She really is a handful at times-but is a really sweet girl.
5. I am not ready to let Landon fly the next to Kindergarten. Yes, I know he's ready and I know he will do really well. (I hope he will anyway!!) But I have loved having him at home with me as my little buddy. He was always such a great helper. It will be really difficult for me to send him off on the bus in the fall.
I look completely FRAZZLED in these pics. I guess I was. I love being with the kids-but putting on a show in front of the parents is a totally different story!! :) Oh well. It's over and done and we are going to enjoy summer to its fullest!!

Compare and Contrast.....
Here are a couple of pictures of me and my mom on Mother's Day. Do we look alike? I don't see it myself....but some people do!
Tonight is preschool graduation. It is always nerve racking to get up in front of the parents! I am excited for summer break, but sad to be ending another year. Landon has been with me for two years and will start Kindergarten in the fall. That will be the hardest part of all tonight. At least I have Presley at home with me for another year. :)

5FF-Vol 14 "This Weekend"
We are wrapping up our dance year!
1.Tonight the girls have a recital at Hillcrest High School- 6pm and it's FREE if you're interested. :)Jazzerettes in concert-the best of the best tonight. All of the competition teams performing their competitive routines along with ballet and a couple of new numbers as well.
2. Tomorrow I will spend all day at Hillcrest again for dress rehearsal for the studio classes. I get to be the mean one collecting money that is overdue. Fun for me!!
3. Presley dances tomorrow night to Zippity-Do-Dah. She is a Zippity-Do-DIVA! So cute in pink. I can't wait to see her. This is her in December ready for the winter recital....(love the snow boots) We'll definitely have more pictures of her tomorrow.
4. Sunday will be a nice relaxing day of STAKE CONFERENCE which means I actually get to sit by my husband and we will have him all to ourselves Sunday afternoon. I'm getting goosebumps just thinking about it.
5. A nap will be in order. Preschool graduation is on Wednesday. It is also the last day of piano until September. (Funny, I accidentally spelled it pain-o. ...freudian slip?)
Have a great weekend!! I know we will!!
PS. I can totally feel summer freedom coming on. I just wish the weather felt it too!!

My blue eyed baby...
Today I was taking some pictures at preschool. I snapped a few of Piper while the other kids were getting in line. I was amazed at her beautiful blue eyes. Just thought I'd share.
She's growing up way too fast. Next month is her first birthday. How did THAT happen??
