Just before Christmas, my sister in law, Ashley, sent me a link to a website about creating "Bantu knots". I was intrigued, what with having 4 girls and all.
So the night before New Year's Eve day, we set the three girls who actually have enough hair to do-into these knots. It suggested using a wax or gel to set the curl. I think I used a bit too much because Pacie's hair (who it actually looked the best on) looked a little like dreds when we were finished. It took a couple of days for the curl to relax as well, but overall, it was a fun experiement. I would do it a little differently next time...not do such small knots to hopefully make a larger curl. I kinda like the look of just the knots themselves too. Kinda funky. Here is the process in pictures.
