We've had a very eventful February so far-well by our standards anyway. We moved into the new house and shortly after said good-bye to one of our faithful dogs. Daisy (Taft)-the older of our two labs. She was very old and very sick. We learned that she was in extreme kidney failure and decided to put her to sleep. It was a sad, but precious teaching time for our little family. Scott was very attached to her. We still have her daughter, Mady, and are having to pamper her now more than ever as she had never been away even a night from her mom. We had a great Valentines day and had fun decorating cookies. There's just something about pink frosting that brings out the softer side of everyone. Landon has had a great time exploring the new spaces of the house. I found him in the cabinet one day. And while we were still getting the girls room put together, the three oldest kids were sleeping in Landon's room. Evidently, he did not like his matress for one night we found him head on Parker's matress with the rest of his body under the bed. He is such a fun boy and keeps us laughing all of the time. And then there's Presley. She is the sweetest little spirit. Never demanding-and loves being entertained by her siblings. She is already 6 months old. I don't know where the time goes! We love you, Little Darlin' Ooh!

Back on Board...for good this time!
Hooray! We are back online! We had three different internet providers out to hook us up here at the new house and finally found one that could give us fast internet service out here in the country! We would trade no internet for where we are though, that's for sure! I just wanted to say that we are here in our house and loving it! Not loving unpacking box after box and deciding where to put everything, but loving the space and the feel of a new house. I have a few pictures to share-when I have more time. Just wanted to say we're back up and running! Hooray!

Happy 6th Birthday Little Parker!
Parker celebrated her 6th Birthday on Saturday the 26th. We had a nice, fairly quiet day. On Friday, she got to take birthday treats for her class. She took them doughnuts and "juicy juice" (capri suns) She was excited to do that. On Saturday morning, Scott and I were able to sleep a little longer than usual. (Pacie woke up early and took Presley for us so that we could sleep) A bit later I heard, (in a sing-song voice), "Oh, Mommy, someone has a birthday today!" In other words, it's time to get up! Pacie and I had gone shopping earlier for a few gifts. Pacie really wanted to get her some Lucky Charms for breakfast-I think for the toy inside-so we gave her that first thing. Simple pleasures. We made her requested cake...hello kitty... and then about 4:00 went to Mamie and Gramps house for cake and ice cream. Grandma and Grandpa Landon came down as well. Then we let Parker pick where she wanted her birthday dinner. Wingers it was. I think she had a happy day. We love you, little Parker and are so glad that you are in our family. We can't believe you are already 6! You are such a good example to your sisters and your brother. They all look up to you so much. Thanks for choosing us to be your family. We hope you had an amazing 6th birthday!!!

Living the Simple Life
Wow, there have been lots of changes since my last entry. We had a wonderful, although all too quick Christmas with our little family. It would be the last one in our home on Genevieve. We started the move a couple of days after Christmas, (after a quick trip to Utah to spend literally 24 hours with Scott's family) and it was packing, more packing, cleaning and more packing! We made the move over about a weeks time with the help of a few friends and family. It was snowing like crazy the two main days we moved the big stuff. How thankful I am for a husband, dad and brothers who aren't wimps! They didn't complain once about moving everything. We moved into "The Little House) and started sleeping here January 1. It was a hard night. Pipes were frozen, there was no fuel in the furnace, (it got warmed up once we got some), and we are living in 3 rooms. Two bedrooms, one living room and a kitchen-the bathroom is in our bedroom...needless to say we are CROWDED! But, we are thankful to have a place to be until our house is finished. We didn't even have a land line phone until last night. I got re-connected to the internet (dial-up...it's SO SLOW!) but at least it's a connection. The laundry pipes are frozen again today...trying to thaw them out to do laundry. But, on the flip side, our house is nearing completion! The cabinets are in-tile is finishing up today and the hard wood floors are in. All that is left now is finish work...and the siding. We should be in sooner than later and we are thrilled. Can't wait actually! But, until then, here we are. All in one room, spending lots of quality time together. I don't think I can even attach any pictures at this slow a speed! I caught the kids the other day doing the greatest thing. Presley and I were in the "living room" and it got really quiet in the kids bedroom. I walked in to find the three of them, (parker, pacie and landon) sitting in a box in the dark watching a movie. They said they were at the drive-in. I loved it! So simple and so happy. I'm grateful for my blessings. I'm thankful for a wonderful family and know that as long as we have each other, we can live ANY kind of life.....
