A Sigh of Relief

Yet another tender mercy. We sold our house yesterday to a really nice couple. We are able to stay in our little yellow house until January 4th. We will then move into my great granny's little 2 bedroom house until February 27th when our new house will be completed. We were getting a little nervous about getting it sold, but we did it, by owner, without a realtor in a little over 2 months. We really love our little yellow house. We moved in July of 2001 after about 8 months of marriage. So most of our married memories are held here. All of our babies have come home to this house. Many Christmas memories, summers in the backyard with the little pool, setting up our new swing set...just loads of memories that will not be forgotten. As excited we are to move into our new house, we will greatly miss our first little yellow house on Genevieve Way.

Bittersweet. Leaving your house/memories, but getting to make new ones in a new home! Exciting times for the Taft family. Great blog back drop, by the way, way to be creative.

Jill -- Your blog is so cute. I kind of miss the life is so ...daily though. Sums it up. Just prepare yourself for the wave of memories as you begin packing your house. It is really hard. I remember just crying in the empty kids' rooms. The house that you bring 4 babies into the world always holds a special place. Such a blessing though, to have it sold. Love ya!

Congrats on selling your house. I bet that makes you all the more excited about moving into your new home. It will be hard to leave all those happy memories behind. You will have to get Rachel to start a blog too :)

Hey Jill! Well, I am glad you can relate. They love it! We are coming up the middle of December. I am not sure the exact date, but we should definately all do something. Leo's is always fun.
