To the cabin we go!

Our annual trip to the cabin to cut our Christmas trees was amazing, as always. What made it even more fun this year was the Mitch and Sarah flew in from Vegas to surprise us!! My dad didn't know they were coming until that day. (The rest of us were tipped off a little earlier...) Anyway-it was a WONDERFUL surprise and although we did miss Jack and Ari, we are looking forward to seeing them over Christmas. We went a day earlier this year as well and that made a huge difference. We arrived Thursday night and were surprised with new matching jammies for the kids courtesy of Danny & Rachel. The kids LOVED their silky jammies. On Friday, we took the kids sledding and also rode 4-wheelers. It was a beautiful day and we had so much fun. We played lots of games, ate TONS of food, and made a couple of Christmas crafts. On Saturday we went out and searched for our trees. It was snowing and was just beautiful. Our weekend was ended by homemade soup and rolls. A perfect weekend! Here are some pictures of our trip....(NONE of the adults somehow....but Rachel says she has them and will get them to me soon....)

Halloween 2011

This Halloween seemed to last 10 days long or so. Festivities started Friday evening and lasted until Monday evening.  Which for the kids is fantastic.  for the adults, not so much.
We started with a fun ward trunk or treat/luncheon.  The weather was incredibly beautiful and the kids had a ball.  We had a ballerina, two witches and dragon and a pretty darn cute monkey.

Sunday night we got together with Matt & Ashley and my dad (my poor mom was SO SICK!) to carve pumpkins.  It was super fun to do it together and I think they all turned out great!

Onto the main event.  Trick or treat night.  Landon decided to be an army man instead of a dragon.  Look how "tuff" he looks!
My beautiful ballerina turned into a scary, crazy, zombie ballerina complete with bloody tights and everything.  Her make-up looks pretty creepy!!
Pacie stayed a lovely witch, complete with little orange cat riding a broom.  She has quite the obsession with cats.  We love our little witch!
Presley was also a cute little good witch.  She flew around all night collecting as much candy as she possibly could.
And my monkey girl.  I love her.  I could hardly get her to stand still long enough to get a picture!!  She was anxious to get out and go.
My scary little MOnStErS!
My favorite picture of the night-Pipes with some bubble gum.  Look at that smile..and those EYES!  Love her to pieces!
Totally random and out of order, but here is Landon on the Saturday trunk or treat....
He and Presley are truly best friends.  They LOVE to be together-through thick and thin.  their relationship makes me happy!!
Happy Halloween, 2011!!

Rewind: Eastern Idaho State Fair 2011

My parents are always amazing about taking our kids to the fair. The last 5 or so years we've worked with our friends in their food booth. It's a riot-and they even pay us!! (Shh, don't tell them, but we'd probably work for free.) Anyway-my mom and dad always bring the kids up one night that we're working to do the fair. Here are some pics from this year's adventure. Apparently, Piper LOVED the pigs. Couldn't get enough of them. She was yelling at them through the fence. And somehow they got Landon and Presley to touch one of them too. I was laughing. Thanks, mom and dad for taking the time to be with our kids. They love going with you and look forward to it every year.
